I recon this just shows how incentives promote a stronger network, rather than relying on some kid with a dsl connection making up the backbone of the Bitcoin network.
We'd see a completely different picture if say nodes where paid for there performance.
I am trying to get the Bitcoin core wallet to sync. I must say though.... what an utter piece of the trash the core wallet and network is. I've spent three weeks waiting to sync up to the network even with the latest release. I got so fed up that I grabbed a torrent of the blockchain up until mid-May, and wanted to let the client sync the remaining 4 weeks of the blockchain.
Half the time the client loses connections so it sits there idling. It's updating at 0.01-0.02% / hour. So, the remaining time to sync will still take another week. Granted the blockchain is 135 GB. But this is just horrible.
I hope your situation clears up Northernlights. All I can recommend is to talk to Baikal's customer support and provide transaction ids so they can verify your payments. Many times it can be the pi- controller that isn't working or the ssd card that is bad.
@northernlights this sounds like a big mess. After baikal ran out of the original minis and quads I think they have had a big strain on delivering their miners. We had a group buy for a considerable amount of hashpower that was canceled just as the payment was about to be made. I also heard that they had their skype account hacked, and people sent BTC to a scammer and not to baikal.
The new quads are great machines, too bad they are literally impossible to buy at the moment.
Let's wait for this Waves platform to come out and check up on where we are standing and recalculate a new price than. I had no idea what the shares value and I'm thankful for @IceKohl commenting in on the prices and plans for the group investing platform.
If you @apmapm12 need to gpu mine the btc for a purchase, well we can't make the trade now anyway, so let's wait for the next-gen platform to be made and reevaluate again. If so, I suppose the shares would be put on the open market and others might want to bid on them too.
@c4 how much were u thinking for ur shares? I'd prob scoop them up in a week or two.
I dont really know what they are worth, give a fair offer and they're yours! I think the easiest would be for you to take over the account on coinprism and you may do whatever you like with the addresses. I have a decent amount of shares for the various programs that we have launched over the years.
